BACKGROUND
The Landscape Ethic Committee develops
approaches towards the successful development of sustainable landscapes and gardens
and the types of plant palettes appropriate for each. It is the committee’s goal
to identify target audiences, objectives and strategic programs to promote sustainable
landscape design, maintenance and management.
The Landscape Ethic Committee advises the Council for Watershed Health stakeholders on the
process of changing attitudes, policies and practices to promote and implement a
landscape ethic. Members include North East Trees, TreePeople, Rancho Santa Ana
Botanic Garden, Rivers & Mountains Conservancy, Mountains Recreation & Conservation
Authority, California Native Plant Society, and others.
