Native Plants for the win on Earth Day

For our final education and engagement event with the students of Sun Valley Magnet School, CWH and partners Scotts MiracleGro Foundation and Theodore Payne Foundation hosted a Native Plant Workshop and Planting day on April 19th. Students learned the concepts of sustainable landscapes, identified native plants in Elmer Paseo, and helped replant areas of Elmer Paseo.

The students had a great time learning proper planting techniques from the Theodore Payne Foundation and CWH. They look forward to watching their plants grow in the Paseo as they take on the care and maintenance and become environemntal stewards of the green alley.
